What Next?

A quiet day today, except for the lads in the bloodstream who I hope are keeping busy.
A Little Fatigued
I feel fine, if a touch fatigued, but appreciate the rest after yesterday's Excitement.

Not much to do now but wait for nature to run its course, hopefully in a Favourable Direction.
I'll still be blogging from time to time, but less on the medical front with luck.
So it'll be more to amuse myself from now on.
Unless there's a Crisis.
Don't even think about it.

Meanwhile, here's an interesting offering from my Old Mucker and Golfing Nemesis, Ian, taken from Chambers Dictionary:
Marrow (1) ... the essence or best part of anything
Marrow (2) ... a match, equal, like, a mate
Durham dialect that second one, apparently.
Make of it what you will, but I like it.

A la prochaine, mes Tireurs fideles de Lasers.

I feel it in my fingers,
I feel it in my toes,
    The marrow's all inside me
    And so the feeling grows....
    I agree, you are amazing...

  4. I am sure Mrs Beaton has a far less complicated recipe for Stuffed Marrow than the Marsden seems to use. Would you like me to send it to your consultant for future use? x

  5. Greetings, favourite bed blocker. I've braved all manner of trials and tribulations to get into the electronic cutlery drawer containing The Spoons. Pretty good for a member of the flat earth society, I wouldn't do it for anyone else, y'know, be pleased.....VERY pleased. So - now The Marrow has landed, when do you want the knitting patterns and airfix sent in? Stalkingly, Sue XXXOOO

  8. How disappointing, I liked thinking Mr Patrick is amazing.
But if you are amazing, then everything you say would be right, so you are not amazing, because you say so.
But if you are right, and you are not amazing, then then you are likely to be wrong, so then you still are .
So you are amazing which is what we all said in the first place.

  9. Oh Dixie,
You've got my amazing head in an amazing spin.
It reminds me of that horrible Lateral Thinking logic problem set in the land where there are two tribes, one that always tells the Truth and one that always Lies. You come to a crossroads without a signpost and want to know the way to the pub (or something). There's a bloke standing there, but you don't know which tribe he's from. What question do you ask him to ensure you get to know which road to take to get to the White Horse (or whatever)?
I can't remember the answer, but no doubt someone much cleverer than I will post it here. Meanwhile, I think I need a paracetamol.
    And a pint.

  10. Here are some answers, Patrick. If you fancy something to put your head even more in a spin, there are other versions, e.g. where one group always tells the truth, one always lies and one randomly alternates between truth and lies. Answers here.

Nice logic, Dixie!! And yes, we're all wonderful and wicked and warped and whatever human beings. But some we perceive to be more wonderful than others, even if they are convinced of their unwonderfulness. So we'll stick to our subjective perceptions, Patrick. While not attributing superhuman powers in any way, of course!
